Winter Fly Fishing

Late winter can be a cold and frustrating time for the fly angler, the leaves are falling off the trees and the first frost-has taken hold.

It's the time most anglers hang up their rods and start tying flies for next year.

But the winter months can offer some fantastic sport with winter Grayling , Perch and hard fighting Pike plus big winter Chub.

All these can be found in our Cotswold rivers, lakes and reservoirs which are open all year round.

Some of the largest fish are caught this time of year so there is no reason to hang up the rod and wait for spring to arrive!
